Felony arrests

Drugs – Michael Earl Burson, 22, of the 100 block of Leeroy Circle, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Saturday for failing to appear for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, probation violations and a misdemeanor. Burson was released on his own recognizance.

Strangulation – Jeremy Jason Gebers, 41, of the 7700 block of Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff's deputies Saturday for strangulation pertaining to domestic violence and a misdemeanor. Gebers was bailed out of Jackson County Jail.

Unauthorized vehicle use – Sarah Lynn Jones, 26, no reported address. She was arrested by Oregon State Police Sunday for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Jones was released on her own recognizance.

Eluding – William Raymond Ophardt III, 31, no reported address. He was arrested by Eagle Point police Sunday for attempting to elude police by vehicle and failing to appear for attempting to elude police by vehicle and unlawful possession of methamphetamine as well as a misdemeanor. Ophardt was released on his own recognizance.

Theft – Mercedes Daniela Hernandez, 21, of the 200 block of West Main Street, Medford. She was arrested for first-degree theft, failing to appear for two counts of first-degree theft and one count of second-degree burglary as well as misdemeanors. Hernandez is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $100,000 bail.

Drugs – Hunter Alan Morin, 30, no reported address. He was arrested by Medford police Monday for failing to appear for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Morin was released on his own recognizance.

Assault – Manuel David Rodriguez, 28, of Mase Road, Medford. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Sunday for second-degree assault, third-degree assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Rodriguez is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $300,000 jail.

Felon possessing firearm – Terrence James Smith, 24, of the 400 block of East 12th Street, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Monday for being a felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanors. Smith was released on his own recognizance.

Assault – Ryan Colby Young, 30, of the 3500 block of Creek View Drive, Medford. He was arrested by Central Point police Sunday for first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree assault and misdemeanors. Young is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $300,000 bail.

Robbery – Caseton Paul Burruss, 49, of the 300 block of South Pine Street, Canyonville. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for two counts of failing to appear for attempting to elude police by vehicle, third-degree robbery and a fugitive warrant issued in Missouri. Burruss is being held without bail in the Jackson County Jail.
