Felony arrests

Strangulation — Brent Thomas Buckingham, 35, of the 700 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Saturday for one count each of strangulation and fourth-degree assault — both pertaining to domestic abuse and a misdemeanor. Buckingham was released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Michael Eugene Gebhart, 54, of no reported address, Central Point. He was arrested by Central Point police Friday for failing to appear for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor. Gebhart was released on his own recognizance.

Fugitive warrant — Steven Joseph Guidry, 36, of the 11400 block of Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. He was arrested by Oregon State Police for a fugitive warrant issued in Louisiana. Guidry is being held without bail in the Jackson County Jail.

Sexual offenses — Claire Laelyn Hagler, 26, of the 200 block of North Ivy Street, Medford. She was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday for three counts of first-degree sexual penetration and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Hagler is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $250,000.

Assault on officer — Christopher David Howerton, 27, of the 200 block of East Main Street, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Friday for failing to appear for assault on a peace or public safety officer and misdemeanors. Howerton was released on his own recognizance.

Unauthorized vehicle use — Timothy James Mini, 30, of the 800 block of West 12th Street, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Friday for one count each of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Mini was released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Stephanie Louise Phillips, 37, of the 4840 block of Dark Hollow Road, Medford. She was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Friday for unlawful possession of heroin, a fugitive warrant issued in Nevada, a misdemeanor and probation violations.Phillips is being held without bail in the Jackson County Jail.

Burglary — Shawn Patrick Tombe, 43, of the 1200 block of South Peach Street, Medford. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Friday for failure to appear for first-degree burglary, coercion and misdemeanors. Tombe is being held in the Jackson County Jail for.$53,000 bail.
