Felony arrests

Theft — Christina Ann Curry, 40, no known address. Medford police arrested Curry Tuesday on a felony warrant charging her with first-degree theft and misdemeanor warrants on two counts of second-degree theft and failing to appear in court on previous third-degree theft charge. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Joshua Harris Nichols, 35, of the 500 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Nichols Tuesday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing more than one ounce of methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of interfering with police, resisting arrest and unlawfully carrying or concealing a firearm and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing meth and manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Identity theft — David Louis Bertik, 45, of the 600 block of Queens Branch Road, Rogue River. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Bertik Wednesday on added felony charges of identity theft, first-degree forgery and first-degree theft. Medford police originally arrested Bertik Aug. 1 on charges of identity theft, second-degree theft, an out-of-county warrant and for violating his probation on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Vehicle theft — James Austin Buchanan, 23, of the 800 block of Ellendale Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Buchanan Wednesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked in jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Burglary — Susan Lynn Crawford, 46, of the 2000 block of Northeast Fairview Avenue, Grants Pass. Medford police arrested Crawford Wednesday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of third-degree theft and resisting arrest. She was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Sex offender — Tyreese Lasaun Key, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Key Wednesday on a felony charge of failing to report as a sex offender, a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and for violating his parole on a prior second-degree sexual abuse conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Theft — Sean Byron Taylor, 34, of McMinnville. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Taylor Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree theft and misdemeanor warrants charging three counts of contempt of court for violating a restraining order. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.

Burglary — Steve Daniel Zoll, 40, of the 3400 block of Forest Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Zoll Wednesday on felony charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief and misdemeanor counts of theft of services and second-degree trespassing. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
