Restaurant inspections

Jackson County health inspectors evaluated 96 restaurants in June. All restaurants passed their semiannual inspections. Scores are reported in the Mail Tribune, with a portion published weekly.

The following restaurants received passing scores of 70 points or higher:

  • Abby's Legendary Pizza, 825 E. Pine St., Central Point — 93;
  • Abby's Legendary Pizza, 835 E. Pine St., Central Point — 99;
  • Abby's Pizza Inn, South Riverside Avenue, Medford — 96;
  • Adam's Deli & Catering, Medford — 98;
  • Angelo's Pizza Parlor, Medford — 98;
  • Ashland Gourmet, Ashland — 96;
  • Baci's Pizza & Pasta, Rogue River — 95;
  • Beijing House, Medford — 96;
  • Bellisima Catering, Ashland — 99;
  • Bistro at the Hill, Gold Hill — 82;
  • Bobbio's Pizza No. 3, White City — 95;
  • Box R Ranch, Ashland — 87;
  • Case Coffee Co., Ashland — 89;
  • Central Point Senior Center, Central Point — 90;
  • China Hut Restaurant & Lounge, Medford — 88;
  • Chun's Palace, Ashland — 83;
  • Cones & Co., Prospect — 84;
  • Cyber Center Sports Grill, Medford — 87.

Inspectors subtract points for critical violations, which include: foods held at improper temperatures, improperly cooled or reheated; not properly protected from contamination, from unapproved origins, unsafe, adulterated or not honestly presented; not date-marked or discarded upon expiration; raw animal foods improperly cooked; presence of rodents or insects; inadequate personal hygiene; failure to clean and sanitize food equipment; lack of an approved water system; toxic chemicals or cleansers not properly stored, used or labeled.
