Our recommendations for Nov. 3

The Mail Tribune editorial board concentrated on local races in this election, focusing on contests where voters were faced with tough choices between qualified candidates, and on state ballot measures. Editorial endorsements represent the opinion of the editorial board, which consists of Editor Justin Umberson, Editorial Page Editor Gary Nelson and our owner and publisher, Steven Saslow. We offer them not in an attempt to tell anyone how to vote, but to give readers our perspective based on group interviews with the candidates and our coverage of the issues facing elected officials.
