Local dean's list achievers

Maryville College

Kayla Yother of Central Point was named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester at Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. In order to be eligible for the honor, full-time students must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher, and no grade below a C. Yother is a Crater High School graduate, and is studying English as a second language teaching.

Harding University

Marissa Gann of Medford was among 1,200 students named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester at Harding University in Searcy, Ark. Harding is an early childhood education major, and a senior at the university. In order to be eligible for the honor, students must carry 12 or more credit hours and earn a 3.65 grade point average with no incomplete grades.

California Lutheran University

Kasey Hamilton of Talent was among the 704 students named to the dean's list for the fall 2014 semester at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Hamilton is a communication major. In order to be eligible for the honor, students must maintain a 3.6 grade point average in their academic subjects.

Graceland University

Ross Robino of Medford was named to the honors list for the spring 2015 semester at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. In order to be eligible for the honor, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.65 and 3.99.

Warner Pacific College

Jerry De Le Fuente of Central Point and Nancy Tovar of White City were among the 498 students named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 academic term at Warner Pacific College in Portland. To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time and achieve a 3.5 or greater grade point average.

Saint Martin's University

Ramon M. Hedges of Ashland has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 academic term at Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Wash. To earn the honor, students must ear a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and carry a minimum 12 credit hours. Hedges is a freshman at the university studying business administration.

George Fox University

The following local students were among the more than 800 students named to the dean's list at George Fox University in Newberg. To earn the honor, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The following local students were among the 265 students named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester at Simpson University in Redding, Calif. To earn the honor, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

  • Lacey Reen of Medford. Reen is majoring in liberal studies.

Seattle Pacific University

The following local students were named to the dean's list for the winter 2015 quarter at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Wash. To earn the honor, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average and complete a minimum 12 credit hours in the academic term.

Megan Krick of Medford was named to the dean's list for the spring 2015 semester at University of Jamestown in Jamestown, N.D. To earn the honor, students must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average and complete at least 12 credit hours during the academic term.

Eastern Oregon University

The following local students were among the 528 students named to the dean's list for the winter 2015 term at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. To qualify for the honor, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 and complete a minimum 12 credit hours for the academic term.

Biola University

The following local students were among the 1,666 students named to the dean's list for the fall 2014 term at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif. To qualify for the honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher, must complete 12 or more credit units, and must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2. This fall, 38 percent of Biola students achieved this academic goal.

Washington University in St. Louis

Kathryn Scherr Reynolds of Ashland was named to the dean's list for the fall 2014 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. To qualify, students must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or above, and must be enrolled in at least 14 graded units. Reynolds is enrolled in the university's College of Arts and Sciences.

Merrimack College

Kyle Singleton of Medford was named to the dean's list for the fall 2014 term at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. To achieve the honor, students must earn a 3.25 grade point average or higher. 

Baylor University

The following Medford students were among the 3,200 students named to the dean's list for the fall 2014 semester at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a minimum 3.7 grade point average and complete at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

South Dakota School of Mines & Technology

Zachary Zelecki of White City and Samuel Cowan of Ashland were named to the dean's list for fall 2014 semester at South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City, S.D. In order to earn the honor, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and must complete at least 12 credit hours during the semester. Zelicki is studying mining engineering, and Cowan is studying mechanical engineering.
