Two Rogue Valley First Tech Challenge teams — the high school level of youth robotics competitions — also came away with accolades from the Oregon FIRST Tech Challenge competition, held Jan. 16 in Junction City.

St. Mary's FTC team "C4" received the winning Alliance Captain Award, given to the team that collaborates with the most high-ranked teams on problems. The school's "Trial 'N Terror" team received a second place Inspire Award, which honors the best all-around teams.
