Grange Co-op offering scholarships to seniors
A Rogue Valley-based agricultural supply cooperative is offering scholarships to high school seniors throughout the state, including Jackson and Josephine counties.
Grange Co-op, based in Central Point, is offering nine scholarships, totaling $14,000 in student aid, as part of the company’s GrangeGives initiative. Eight students will qualify for $1,500 and one student will receive $2,000.
“Grange Co-op strives to assist young adults in our communities to excel and take the next step in their future endeavors,” Demetria Marical, youth and community outreach coordinator with Grange Co-op, said in a prepared statement. “Helping build the foundation to the future, Grange Co-op is proud to support local students in their pursuit for higher education.”
Qualifying seniors must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and participate in any number of activities, including Future Farmers of America and 4-H.
Students who wish to apply must also submit a written 900- to 1,500-word essay on a specific topic; official high school transcripts; a signed letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, administrator or employer; and a short video introducing themselves.
