PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The American Legion Post 14 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 353 will hold their annual Veterans Day pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon today, at Pioneer Hall, 73 Winburn Way, Ashland. The breakfast includes ham, eggs, coffee, tea, juice and all the pancakes you can eat. Cost is $4, $2 for children under 12.

CELEBRATION: Retired USMC Col. David G. Dotterrer will be the guest speaker at the Veterans Day Celebration to be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Veterans Association Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, 8495 Crater Lake Ave., White City. There also will be a patriotic tribute performed by the USAF Golden West Travis Band Quintet, a memorial tribute to Oregon's fallen soldiers with taps presented by Echo Taps' Kyle Roe and the colors will be presented and retired by the Young Marines of Camp White. PARADE IN EAGLE POINT: Eagle Point's annual Veterans Day parade begins at 10 a.m. today, at Eagle Point High School, 129 S. Platt St., Eagle Point. Vietnam veterans will be highlighted this year. There will be a float to honor those who fought in Vietnam, and a plaque to the veterans will be dedicated after the parade. Parade entries include the Eagle Point High School Band and others. CEREMONY: The Medford Parks and Recreation's annual ceremony to honor veterans will be held at 2 p.m. today, in the Council Chambers at Medford City Hall, 411 W. Eighth St. Call 774-2401.

PARADE IN MEDFORD: Service organizations such as the American Heritage Girls, American Legion, Oregon Army National Guard, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Korean War Veterans, the Siskiyou Chapter of the Oregon Veterans Motorcycle Association and representatives from Rogue Community College will participate in a Veterans Day Parade to be held Monday. CONCERT: Patriotic music to honor veterans and military forces serving the United States will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway, Medford. The Swing Kings Big Band, led by Harry Kannasto and featuring vocalist Diane Hedges, will perform dance favorites from the '40s and '50s. At 8 p.m., The Southern Oregon Concert Band, a 75-member band under the direction of Yair Strauss, will present arrangements by James Henry Fillmore, John Philip Sousa, Glenn Osser, Bob Lowden and others. DINNER: The Young Marines of Southern Oregon will sponsor a Veterans Day dinner today, at the Scottish Rite Center, 955 N. Phoenix Road, Medford. There will be two seatings, one at 4:30 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. Reservations are required. Wheelchair access tables are available. Call 951-5406.
