Country music show benefits candidate
Jamie McLeod-Skinner, congressional candidate for Oregon’s 2nd Congressional District, will be at a campaign fundraising concert by county music artist Trey Taylor in Ashland starting at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St., Ashland.
An opening band will be followed by a representative of the College Democrats of Oregon introducing McLeod-Skinner for brief remarks. Taylor will perform at 8 p.m. and Taylor and McLeod-Skinner will then appear at a meet and greet with concert attendees.
Concert entry tickets are $20 ($10 students); backstage passes to meet Trey and Jamie following the concert are $50.
McLeod-Skinner is also due to appear as grand marshal in the Rogue Valley Pride Parade starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.
