Grab your baskets and prepare for Easter egg hunts

Get the little ones ready: The Rogue Valley is bursting with Easter egg hunts this weekend. Here’s all the info for young and old alike:

Ashland Rotary Easter Egg Hunt

The Rotary Club of Ashland presents its 62nd annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 21, by the tennis courts in Lithia Park along Winburn Way. Families are encouraged to arrive early. The hunt will be over in a minute or two. Kids in age groups of 2 and younger, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 will hunt for more than 3,000 Willamette Egg Farm eggs boiled and dyed by Southern Oregon University dining hall staff, over 125 pounds of candy and two golden eggs good for special prizes. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos beginning at noon.

Eagle Point Egg Hunt

The Eagle Point Community Association will host a hunt for candy, toothbrushes and stuffed animals at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at the Crater Charter School sports field on the corner of E. Main St. and S. Shasta Ave., Eagle Point. Families are encouraged to arrive early. Groups are ages 2 and younger, 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-11 and special needs. Please hunt in your designated group area only and be sure to bring your own basket. One stuffed animal per child. No dogs. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos. Call 541-826-4914.

Brookdale Eagle Point Egg Hunt

Children can hunt for over 5,000 eggs at 4 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Brookdale, 261 Loto St., Eagle Point. A barbecue will be held at noon, with burgers, hot dogs, salads and chips. Call 541-830-0355.

Medford Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt

The Kiwanis Club of Medford and sponsor Lithia Motors will host the club’s 78th annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Pear Blossom Park, at East Fifth and North Bartlett streets in downtown Medford. Families are advised to arrive 15 minutes early. Four separate hunts will be offered: age 0-3 plus disabled children, age 4-5, age 6-7 and age 8-10. Children will scoop up 10,000 candy treats in minutes. The Easter Bunny will hand out balloons and be available for photos. Call 541-776-5031.

Central Point Eggstravaganza

Kids can hunt for more than 20,000 eggs at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Twin Creeks Park, 555 Twin Creeks Crossing Loop, Central Point. Activities from 10 a.m. to noon include free games, photos with the Easter Bunny and prizes. The egg hunt, beginning at 11 a.m. sharp, is split into three age groups: 3 and under, 4-6 and 7-9. American Legion Egg Hunt

American Legion No. 15 in Medford will host its Easter egg hunt at noon Saturday, April 20, at the Veterans Memorial Park, 100 Armory Drive, Medford, located next to the Medford Armory. Youth up to age 14 are invited to participate. The park will be sectioned for a range of age groups, and baskets, colored eggs, cookies, candy and prizes will be available. Spring Eggstravaganza

The Rogue Valley Mall will host an Easter Eggstravaganza from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Macy’s Home Store Court in the mall, 1600 N. Riverside Ave., Medford. Look for mall-wide Easter hunts, bounce houses, games, candy and prizes, hands-on activities by ScienceWorks and more.
