First Presbyterian Church will hold an adult education class at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at 1615 Clark Ave.

A coffee fellowship will follow the class in the narthex, and an all-church service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Members and visitors are invited to attend the annual Advent Faire in Calvin Hall beginning at 11:30 a.m. The event will include a light lunch plus the opportunity to join in craft activities. For information, call 541-482-3536.

"It's A Wonderful Life" will be the theme of Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier's December sermons, at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at the Center for Spiritual Living, 1119 Ellen Ave., Medford. Mary Vannice, harpist, will provide music and Rev. Ruth Kirby will present the "Fountain of Youth" children's services.

"The Women's Gathering" will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, to decorate the sanctuary Christmas tree. Those attending are encouraged to bring food items for a local food bank.

Seattle educational music duo The Sababas will perform a children's Hanukkah concert at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Ashland Branch Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. The performance will include music, puppetry, storytelling and participation from the audience.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church will present a traditional service of Advent lessons and carols at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at 675 N. Keene Way Drive, Medford. The service will include contemporary and biblical readings, and congregational carols and choral pieces from the church's chancel choir and hand-bell quartet. Tenor Bret Aakre will be the featured soloist. A tea will be held following the service. The service and tea are free, and donations will be accepted. Ashland Bible Church's Christmas Dessert Concert will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at 400 Dead Indian Memorial Road, Ashland. The theme for this year's concert will be "Gloria in Excelsis Deo," or "glory to God in the highest."

Prior to the concert, attendees will be treated to a dessert and holiday beverage. The concert will feature music from the adult choir, various instrumentalists and minister of music Brent Olstad. Pastor Nate Shinn will present a devotional, and the congregation will sing carols.
