District Attorney Huddleston to seek re-election
MEDFORD — Jackson County District Attorney Mark Huddleston announced Friday that he will file for re-election with the Secretary of State, seeking a fifth term in the May 13 primary election.
Huddleston has served as Jackson County District Attorney since 1992. He began his legal career in 1980 as a deputy district attorney, and spent four years as chief deputy district attorney, from 1988 to 1992.
Huddleston said the 16 deputy district attorneys under his supervision in the criminal division carry some of the highest caseloads in the state. He projects that his office will prosecute approximately 7,400 adult criminal cases in the fiscal year ending June 30.
