Felony arrests

Burglary — Garland Douglas Brittain, 32, of the 600 block of Newt Gulch Road, Wilderville. Medford police Monday arrested Brittain on charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Drugs — James Leroy Cumbee, 46, of the 2400 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Cumbee made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of possession of heroin and methamphetamine. He was booked Monday in jail and released.

Drugs — Lucas Taylor Hothan, 24, of the 200 block of Olwell Way, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Hothan on charges of possession of heroin, driving under the influence of intoxicants and violating the conditions of his probation on previous drug convictions. He was lodged Monday in jail on $35,000 bail.

Drugs — Timothy Allan Shepherd, 32, no known address. Medford police Sunday arrested Shepherd on a warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Melinda Jonelle Kershner, 28, of the 3400 block of Poppy Woods Drive, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Kershner on charges of possession of heroin and out-of-county warrants for failing to appear on drug and resisting arrest charges. She was lodged Monday in jail and released on her own recognizance.

Forgery — Tara A. Logan, 42, of the 2900 block of Prospect Highway, Prospect. Medford police Sunday arrested Logan on warrants charging her with first-degree forgery and first-degree possession of a forged instrument. She was lodged Sunday in jail and released on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Brian Edward Smith, 34, of the 300 block of Holt Lane, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Smith on charges of possession of methamphetamine and carrying a concealed knife. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Monday on his own recognizance.

Crime reports

Theft — 3000 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report at 12:25 p.m. Monday of the theft of dirt-bike clothing and a sluice box from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,780.

Theft — 1000 block of Willowdale Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 11:14 p.m. Sunday of the theft of a bow from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $1,200.
