Boil order lifted in Gold Hill
The city of Gold Hill has lifted its boil order notice after receiving approval from the Oregon Health Authority.
The city shut down its water system for much of the day Monday in order to replace distribution shutoff valves. The city advised residents to boil drinking water afterward to guard against any harmful bacteria that could be in the supply because of the shutoff.
The city received confirmation from an independent laboratory that the water was safe for consumption and was given approval to lift the boil order by the OHA, a press release issued today said.
