Felony arrests

Sex-offender registration — James William Wood, 32, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Wood on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender and for violating conditions on his parole from a previous kidnapping conviction. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Fugitive — Garrett Anthony Washington, 22, no known address. Oregon State Police on Monday arrested Washington on a fugitive warrant out of California. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail.

Drugs — Samantha Brooke Tasior, 35, of the 1500 block of Bryant Street, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Tasior on warrants charging her with possession of heroin and second-degree trespass as well as new charges of possession of methamphetamine and contempt. She was lodged Monday in jail and released on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Susan Anne Medcalf, 48, of the 700 block of West McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Medcalf on charges of possession of methamphetamine, interfering with a police report and for failing to appear on vehicle-theft and drug charges. She was lodged Sunday in jail without bail.

Fugitive — Kyron Alexander Lewis, 25, no known address. Medford police Monday arrested Lewis on a fugitive warrant out of California. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail.

Drugs — Justin Al Watkins, 39, of the 2900 block of State Street, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Watkins on a charge of possession of heroin and on a warrant for failing to appear on a contempt charge, He was lodged Monday in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Ashley Kay Hultin, 29, of the 100 block of Pine Street, Ashland. Ashland police Sunday arrested Hultin on a warrant charging her with possession of heroin and furnishing false statements to police as well as failing to appear in theft and trespass charges. She was lodged Sunday in jail without bail.

Assault — Krystyna Frances Schmitz, 40, no known address. Talent police Monday arrested Schmitz on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and strangulation. She was lodged Monday in jail on $12,500 bail.

 

Crime reports

Burglary — 300 block of North Berkeley Way, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:18 a.m. Monday of a burglary to a residence from which a bicycle, jewelry and ammunition were stolen. The loss was valued at $1,837.
