Young Jane and Michael Banks have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. 'A Celtic Christmas'
Storyteller Tomaseen Foley and his troupe of professional musicians present an evening of Celtic music, traditional Christmas carols, Irish dancing and stories from the west of Ireland at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Holiday Open House at Hanley Farm
The historic farmhouse will be decorated and open for tours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point. Costumed docents will guide visitors through the home and bring history to life with stories about the Hanley family and farm. Take a walk around the gardens and enjoy roasted chestnuts, hot beverages, cookies and more in the pavilion. Admission is $5, $3 for age 12 and younger. See sohs.org for reservations.
