The piano duo will present "Romantic Riches," a recital of works by Russian composers Tchaikovsky, Medtner, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the Music Recital Hall, 405 S. Mountain Ave., at Southern Oregon University in Ashland. The show is part of SOU's Tutunov Piano Series, named after its professor of music and artist in residence, Alexander Tutunov. When middle-aged Greg brings home a stray dog — portrayed as an attractive, vivacious woman — his wife objects. But, feeling disconnected from his wife, job and life, Greg bonds with the animal. The battle between wife and dog begins, and each is committed to defeating the other. Collaborative Theatre Project's production of A.R. Gurney's dark comedy runs at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3, Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 8-10, and 1:30 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 4 and 11, in CTP's performing arts venue, 555 Medford Center, Medford. Designs for Dreaming

Steven Mayerson and the Southern Oregon University Department of Art and Art History will present short musical films and film excerpts that focus on fashion and costumes at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, in the Meese Auditorium at SOU, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Look for Oscar-winning musical numbers from the '30s to the '90s, and see David Bowie, Debby Reynolds, Sammy Davis Jr. and Fred Astaire strut their stuff. Admission is free. Brava! Opera Adler Fellows Concert

Resident artists of the San Francisco Opera  — sopranos Sarah Cambidge and Natalie Image, mezzo-soprano Ashley Dixon, tenors Amitai Pati and Kyle van Schoonhoven, baritone Andrew G. Manea and bass-baritone Christian Pursell — will perform 15 arias, duets and ensembles from grand operas at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in the Mountain Avenue Theatre at Ashland High School, 201 S. Mountain Ave. Aria Umezawa will direct, and pianist John Elam will provide accompaniment. The opera singers are 2018 Adler Fellows. Celebrate some of the greatest love songs of American pop music when singers Jade Chavis Watt, Jennifer de Puglia, Lisa Yriarte and Shae Celine, accompanied by guitarist Dirk Price, bassist Greg Frederick, drummer Matt Kriemelman and keyboard player Don Harriss, present "The Power of Love." Shows are set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-10, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford.
