FOTAS to launch Kitty Enrichment Reading Program
Children and kittens can all benefit from the new Kitty Enrichment Reading Program being launched Sunday, Feb. 3, at Jackson County Animal Services.
Friends of the Animal Shelter invites parents to bring books and their reading-age children who are enrolled in first through eighth grades to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix, to read for one hour to a shelter cat between 11 a.m. and noon before the shelter opens to the public. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The program is planned to take place for an hour the first Sunday of each month.
