Ashland Monster Dash run going virtual

The Monster Dash road race in Ashland will be virtual for 2020, with participants able to submit their course times online between Oct. 23 and Halloween.

Proceeds from the event, presented by Lithia Kids, Ashland public schools and Ashland Kiwanis, will go to the Ashland School District and the Phoenix-Talent School District Fire Relief Fund, according to a news release.

Runners can register online at ashlandmonsterdash.com. Times can be submitted for the mile, 5K or 10K races. Registration costs between $10 and $25, depending on the race and age group, according to the website.

Runners are encouraged to participate in the virtual costume contest. Runners packets will feature race bibs, finishers medals and crepe paper finish lines for mini-events at home.
