UPDATED: Power back on following outage that affected more than 1,600 customers
Updated 3:45 p.m. - Power is back on for all but eight customers previously affected by the outage. The outage's cause is "damaged equipment" according to the Pacific Power website.
A power outage has left 1,625 Medford homes and businesses without electricity, according to the Pacific Power website.
The outage, reported at 2:18 p.m. Monday, is located off Center Drive near the exit 27 Interstate 5 overpass, the website shows. It's not known what caused the outage, but crews are responding to the area. Officials estimate the power should be restored before 5 p.m.
