Visitors to Lithia Park will find artists capturing scenes from Ashland’s signature park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

People are invited to watch more than 30 artists scattered throughout the park and talk to them about their process and work. Lithia Park is located along Winburn Way in downtown Ashland.

For those who want to see the finished art, the artists have been invited to show one piece each from June 21 through Sept. 16 at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland.

The art will be sold, with half of proceeds going to the artist and half benefiting the science museum.

This weekend’s “Saturday in the Park” painting event at Lithia Park is being curated by local artist Sarah F. Burns as part of the Schneider Museum of Art’s “Art Beyond” celebration of art in the outdoors.

"Art Beyond“ brings art to unexpected settings, including Lithia Park, Mount Ashland, Vesper Meadow east of Ashland and Willow-Witt Ranch northeast of Ashland.
