Business destroyed in Wolf Creek fire
Firefighters from across Southern Oregon are battling a commercial structure fire in Wolf Creek adjacent to a gas station.
The Grill and Deli at the Wolf Creek 76 station was destroyed in a fire that broke before dawn Wednesday, according to posts and photos on social media from Rural Metro Fire of Josephine County, among the multiple firefighting agencies out of Jackson County.
The multi-alarm fire about 18 miles north of Grants Pass prompted engines and resources across Jackson and Josephine counties including Jackson County fire districts 3 and 5, and fire departments out of Medford, Ashland and Jacksonville, according to a 6:33 a.m Medford Fire Department social media post .
The Jackson County based mutual aid assistance included a structural strike team with five engines and a strike team leader.
The Illinois Valley Fire District provided a water tender, and IVFD Chief John Holmes is also on scene assigned as the Fire Defense Board Chief, according to a 7:35 a.m. post.
