Age Wise Age Well is seeking compassionate volunteers to provide peer counseling to older adults that are experiencing issues related to aging such as grief, loss, anxiety, isolation, adjusting to new illness and many others. No experience needed; volunteer counselors are trained to meet with clients one -on-one and provide emotional support and guidance to seniors referred to the program. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.
CASA of Jackson County is in need of committed and compassionate volunteers who will serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children. Volunteers are specially trained to advocate for children in the pursuit of safe and permanent homes. This opportunity is only for volunteers 21 and older.

Drivers needed in Phoenix: The Call-A-Ride medical transportation program is in need of volunteer drivers who live in Phoenix or who would be willing to transport people to and from Phoenix. Call-A-Ride drivers transport local homebound seniors to their medical appointments in Jackson County. Drivers use their own vehicles, and mileage reimbursement is provided. COVID-19 safety policies are in place. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.
SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) is seeking volunteer Medicare counselor to help seniors navigate the ins and outs of Medicare. No experience needed; volunteers receive extensive training and meet one-on-one with clients to provide unbiased support for all things Medicare-related. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.
