Havurah Synagogue

The synagogue in Ashland will hold online Shabbat services Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10 and 11. Cyrise Beatty Schachter will lead a service of prayer, song, candle lighting and Torah readings at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, via Zoom. Schachter will also lead a musical celebration of Shabbat with the Asiya Trio at 10:30 a.m. Saturday via Zoom. Unity of Medford

The spiritual community center at 540 N. Holly St., Medford, will hold a drum circle at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11. Author Jean Hanna will be guest speaker for a sermon titled “The Magic of Mother Mary” at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. Unity of Medford and the Center for Spiritual Living Rogue Valley are planning a joint Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24. Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

The church, at the Shoppes at Exit 24, 205 Fern Valley Road, Suite Z, Phoenix, will hold vespers services at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, and 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, followed by catechism or inquirer classes. Medford First United Methodist Church

The church, 607 W. Main St., Medford, will hold a worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. Pastor Ben Devoid will lead a sermon for the second Sunday in Advent titled “Speaking of Sin.” Those attending are asked to wear masks, and child care is offered for kids through second grade. First Presbyterian Church Medford

The church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford, will hold an in-person worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. Masks are required. The church is planning a Christmas concert with choir, bell choir and organ music at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18. The concert is free, but reservations are required. Trinity Episcopal Church

The church, 44 N. Second St., Ashland, will hold a Celtic evensong and Holy Communion at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12. The Rev. Anthony Hutchinson will preside over the service, with a theme of “Sacred Stirrings” followed by Celtic music from guest musician Robert Adams and Cantor Jose Rubio. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a time of quiet reflection and music on a Celtic harp. Proof of vaccination and face masks are required. The service will be recorded and uploaded to YouTube. Sacred Heart Catholic Church

The church, at 517 W. 10th St., Medford, offers Mass at 8:30 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays, preceded by a Rosary at 8 a.m. and Divine Mercy following Mass. An English language vigil is offered at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Reconciliation is from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. Saturday, and a Spanish Language vigil is at 7 p.m. Saturday.
