COVID-19 report lists outbreaks in Rogue Valley

The Oregon Health Authority's weekly COVID-19 outbreak report for the week of Dec. 20-26 showed several active and recent outbreaks in senior and child care facilities, workplaces and K-12 schools.

Following are K-12 schools that experienced recent outbreaks:

Jackson County Sheriff's Office, with eight cases, was the only workplace in the county with any outbreaks listed in the report.

In Josephine County, the workplaces that had active outbreaks were Walmart Supercenter (58 cases), ECS Composites (six cases), Rogue Valley Youth Correctional Facility (six cases), Grants Pass Surgery Center (five cases), WinCo Foods (five cases).

Several care facilities, senior living communities and congregate living settings in the Rogue Valley were experiencing active outbreaks. In Jackson County, facilities included Lakeland Senior Living (three cases, zero deaths), Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (six cases, zero deaths), Avamere at Waterford Assisted Living Facility (one case, one death).

In Josephine, facilities included Countryside Village (three cases, zero deaths), Suites Assisted Living Community (eight cases, zero deaths).

In Jackson County, Rainbow's End Early Learning Center LCC (six cases), Southern Oregon Head Start - Alan S Berlin Campus B (three cases) and Here We Grow (four cases) were child care facilities listed in the report as having active outbreaks.

In Josephine County, Reading Rainbow Child Care (four cases) was the only child care facility with an active outbreak in the report.
