Local schools continue to see COVID-19 outbreaks

The Oregon Health Authority weekly COVID-19 outbreak report continues to show outbreaks are occurring at schools in Jackson and Josephine counties.

The latest report, released Wednesday, covered the period from Dec. 27 to Jan. 2.

The following K-12 schools in Jackson and Josephine counties experienced COVID-19 outbreaks last week, along with private and public workplaces that saw outbreaks:

Allen Dale Elementary School (one student, zero adults), Ashland High School (three students, zero adults), Bellview Elementary School (one student, zero adults), Cascade Christian High School (two students, zero adults), Cascade Christian Middle School (one student, zero adults), Crater High School (three students, zero adults), Crater Lake Charter Academy (one student, zero adults), Eagle Point Middle School (one student, zero adults), Evergreen Elementary (one student, zero adults), Fort Vannoy Elementary School (one student, zero adults), Fruitdale Elementary (one student, zero adults), Grace Christian School (three students, zero adults), Grants Pass High School (six students, zero adults), Gladiola High School (two students, zero adults), Hedrick Middle School (four students, zero adults), Helman Elementary (one student, zero adults), Hillside Elementary School (zero students, one adult), Hoover Elementary School (two students, zero adults), Howard Elementary School (one student, zero adults);

Jackson Elementary School (one student, zero adults), Jacksonville Elementary School (three students, zero students), Jefferson Elementary School (zero students, one adult), Jewett Elementary (one student, zero adults), Kennedy Elementary School (one student, two adults), Lincoln Elementary School (one students, zero adults), Lorna Byrne Middle School (one student, zero adults), Mae Richardson Elementary School (two students, zero adults), McLoughlin Middle School (two students, one adult), New Hope Christian School (two students, zero adults), North Medford High School (five students, zero adults), North Middle School (one student, two adults), North Valley High School (one student, zero adults);

Parkside Elementary (one student, zero adults), Phoenix High School (one student, one adult), Prospect Charter School (four students, zero adults), Scenic Middle School (three students, one adult), Shady Cove School (two students, zero adults), South Medford High School (four students, zero adults), South Middle School (zero students, one adult);

Table Rock Elementary School (three students, zero adults), Talent Elementary School (one student, zero adults), The Siskiyou School (two students, zero adults), Rogue River Junior/Senior High School (zero students, one adult), Rogue Valley Adventist School (two students, zero adults), Washington Elementary School (one student, one adult), White Mountain Middle School (one student, zero adults), Williams Elementary (five students, zero adults), Woodland Charter School (one student, zero adults).

The Jackson Sheriff's Office (eight cases) was the only workplace in Jackson County listed in the report that had an active outbreak.

In Josephine County, Walmart Supercenter-Grants Pass (58 cases), Flying Lark (10 cases), ECS Composites (six cases), Rogue Valley Youth Correctional Facility (six cases), and WinCo Foods (five cases) were all workplaces listed in the report with active outbreaks.

In Jackson County, senior living and similar facilities that experienced active outbreaks included Lakeland Senior Living (four cases, zero deaths), Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (nine cases, zero deaths), Avamere at Waterford Assisted Living Facility (one case, one death) and VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinic - Nutrition & Food Services (11 cases, zero deaths).

In Josephine County, Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (16 cases, zero deaths), Countryside Village (three cases, zero deaths), Suites Assisted Living Community (eight cases, zero death), and Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center (five cases, zero deaths) were listed in the report as experiencing active outbreaks.

In Jackson County, OnTrack Rogue Valley HOME Program Daycare (two cases), Rainbow's End Early Learning Center LCC (six cases) and Southern Oregon Head Start - Alan S. Berlin Campus B (three cases) were child care facilities listed in the report with active outbreaks.

In Josephine County, Playground Early Learning Center (three cases), Imagine That...Creative Children's Center (three cases) and Reading Rainbow Child Care (four cases) were child care facilities listed in the report with active outbreaks.
