Volunteer drivers needed! The Call-A-Ride medical transportation program is in need of volunteer drivers to transport local homebound seniors to their medical appointments in Jackson County. Drivers use their own vehicles and mileage reimbursement is provided. COVID-19 safety policies are in place. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.

CASA of Jackson County is in need of committed and compassionate volunteers who will serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children. Volunteers are specially trained to advocate for children in the pursuit of safe and permanent homes. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.

Age Wise Age Well is seeking compassionate volunteers to provide peer counseling to older adults who are experiencing issues related to aging such as grief, loss, anxiety, isolation, adjusting to new illness and many others. No experience needed; volunteer counselors are trained to meet with clients one on one and provide emotional support and guidance to seniors referred to the program. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.

St. Vincent de Paul of Medford is looking for the following volunteers: a couple of volunteers who can help in the warehouse on Thursdays and Saturdays — tasks include taking in and sorting new donations for the Thrift Store; counselors who can work one day a week — counselor would interview clients and make determinations on financial assistance. Good computer skills are required.

Friends of the Medford Library is in need of volunteers to who can help with social media, sort and manage donations, work at the bookshop and help with library events. Hours of the bookshop are currently noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and noon to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Southern Oregon Historical Society Research Library needs history-minded people to help the public with research and/or to help index and organize historic documents. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; a minimum commitment of two days a month is preferred.
