Payment kiosk opens next to APD
Ashland residents can now pay their utility bills at a kiosk in the Ashland Police Department breezeway.
The recently installed kiosk, open 24/7, is a “resource for customers who are busy during normal business hours or who do not want to come to the office to make a payment,” according to a city news release.
Customers can look up their city utility account using the account number and customer number, or by scanning a copy of the bill. The kiosk accepts cash, check, Visa and MasterCard, which are processed immediately to utility accounts, according to the release. Customers can take a printed receipt or receive an electronic copy by text or email.
The kiosk is at 1175 E. Main St., across the parking lot from The Grove.
According to a city memo from December 2020, the city “identified the ability to purchase a payment kiosk and be reimbursed with federal CARES funds.”
