St. Peter Lutheran Church

The church, at 44 N. Second St., Ashland, will hold its monthly Celtic Evensong service with holy communion at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 22. The Rev. Anne Bartlett will lead a service of Celtic music, readings and poetry on the theme of “Sacred Nurturing,” and will feature music performed by Jodi French and sung by cantor Shelly Cox-Thornhill. Proof of vaccination and masks are required to attend in person, but the service will be recorded and streamed at a later date on the church’s Facebook page. Sacred Heart Catholic Church

The church, 517 W. 10th St., Medford, offers mass at 8:30 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays, with a rosary at 8 a.m. and divine mercy following mass. Weekend services include confession Saturday from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m., a vigil in English at 5:30 p.m. and in Spanish at 7 p.m. Mass services in English are offered at 8:30 a.m. and noon Sunday, 10:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in Spanish and 3:30 p.m. in Latin. The church’s Adoration Chapel is accessible 24 hours a day.
