Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

Ascension Lutheran Church

Ashland Zen Center

The temple, at 740 Tolman Creek Road, Ashland, will offer beginners an introduction to Zen meditation at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28. The introduction will be followed by Zen meditation (zazen), a loving kindness service, a teaching, tea and treats. Vaccination required. Center for Spiritual Living Rogue Valley

The center will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Unity of Medford, 540 N. Holly St. Guest speaker Reverend Eric O'del will deliver his message is “Everything is Going to be All Right,” with musical inspiration by Anton Mizerak & Laura Berryhill. Central Neighborhood Church

The church, at 4777 Pacific Highway, Phoenix, will hold a special outdoor service at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Blue Heron Park, 4385 Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Bring your own seating. Chabad Jewish Center of Southern Oregon

Rabbi Avi Zwiebel of Chabad Jewish Center of Southern Oregon will offer a brief, open-to-all, 30-minute Rosh Hashanah ceremony that includes the primary observances of the holiday. “Shofar in the Park” will take place at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, on the lawn at the entrance to Lithia Park in Ashland. Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown Sunday, Sept. 25, and extends until nightfall Tuesday, Sept. 27. First Presbyterian Church of Central Point

Havurah Synagogue

The Jewish New Year begins Sunday, Sept. 25, at sundown. Rabbis David Zaslow, Sue Morningstar, Emanuel Ben-David, music director and para-rabbinic leader Cyrise Beatty Schachter, storyteller, Debra Zaslow, the Asiyah Trio and other prayer leaders and storytellers will offer a High Holy Day season.
