Jackson County’s two largest library branches are now open every day of the week.

The Medford library will be open Thursdays, and the Ashland library will be open Fridays effective Dec. 1, according to a release issued by Jackson County Library Services, bringing each branch to seven-day service.

Medford and Ashland library branches now have identical hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. weekends.

JCLS plans to add more hours to other library branches within the county’s 15-branch system starting April 1, according to the release. The release describes the systemwide expansion as a 30% increase in open hours, but the exact hours planned for this spring have not yet been revealed.
