Letters to the Editor, July 12
Thanks for response
As a 33-year veteran volunteer firefighter, EMT, and administrative officer, I’d like to thank the crews and personnel at Cal-Fire, ODF, USFS, BLM, strike teams, the helicopter and tanker pilots, and the California and Oregon highway patrols and sheriff’s offices for their highly successful interagency cooperation and ability to “hold the line” at the border.
May you continue to be safe and successful in your efforts to extinguish the Klamathon fire. Thank you all.
Nancy Appling Salucci
A huge debt
My heartfelt appreciation to the people of CalFire, ODF, numerous county sheriffs’ offices of Oregon and California, first responders, and 2,000-plus brave firefighters who have and are continuing to work so hard to bring the Klamathon fire under control.
These people are heroes, brave beyond words. By their expertise, effort and valor, they have saved many lives and property.
We owe every one of them a huge debt of gratitude.
