Foundation says thanks

The Ashland Community Hospital Foundation (ACHF) would like to express our thanks and appreciation to those local business owners and groups who to date in 2018 have partnered with us on benefit events that support our mission “to solicit, steward and grant funds to Asante Ashland Community Hospital services.”

For the third year in a row, Melissa Jensen and Tom Du Bois from Louie’s Restaurant donated $10 to the foundation for every $20 gift card purchased from ACHF during the month of June. Every dollar raised went to support patient care initiatives at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. We were impressed to learn Louie’s does these fundraisers on a regular basis with a variety of local nonprofit organizations.

In May, on Mother’s Day Weekend, Belle Fiore Winery donated 50 percent of the proceeds from every bottle of 2015 Belle Arte Rosé purchased at the winery to ACHF.

On June 2, the first Ashland Duffers Golf Tournament was held on the Oak Knoll Golf Course. It began with a nine-hole, four-person scramble and ended with an awards barbeque. Since the tournament was organized by a group of individuals with a passion for Asante Ashland Community Hospital and golf, they chose to donate their profits to ACHF.

Legend Cider Company, owned by Tyler and Adrianne Bauman, hosted a cider-tasting event on July 6 at the Growler Guys in Ashland. A dollar from every pint of Legend Cider sold during the event benefited the foundation.

The foundation board of directors considers Asante Ashland Community Hospital a vital community asset. And we truly appreciate all of the generous support we receive from individual donors, businesses and groups that helps maintain the excellence of our local hospital.

Joy Dobson Way, RN (retired), ACHF board president
