Nathan Kobinsky, son of Jack Kobinsky and Emily Miller of Medford and a senior at the University of Arizona, qualified for the fall 2008 term dean's list with distinction (full-time student; straight A's). Kobinsky is double-majoring in Spanish and geography. He graduated from South Medford High School in 2005.
Nicholas Famoso of Gold Hill has been named to the fall 2008 semester dean's list at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. The School of Mines is an engineering and science university in Rapid City, S.D. Famoso is majoring in geology. To qualify for the dean's list, undergraduate students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester and carry 12 or more credit hours.
Matthew Ryan Warner of Ashland; McKenzie Jason Baker and Bryan Erik Kluherz, both of Central Point; and Andrea Katherine Mytinger of Medford qualified for the fall 2008 president's list at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. To qualify for the president's list, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.75 in at least nine graded hours in a single term or a GPA of 3.5 based on at least 15 cumulative hours of graded work.
Adam Higgins, a 2008 graduate of North Medford High School, has earned a place on the dean's list at The W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. Dean's list recognition is awarded to students who were enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester.
William H. Lehmann of Central Point has been named to the fall 2008 semester dean's list at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo. The honor roll consists of regularly enrolled undergraduates above freshman standing who earned a 3.4 or better grade-point average, and freshmen who earned a 3.25 or better GPA. Devin Swanson, son of Dan Swanson and Stacey Kerns, was named to the fall 2008 semester dean's list at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo. Swanson is a 2005 graduate of Crater High School in Central Point.
