Men's breakfast and services at St. Mark's

The men of St. Mark's Epsicopal Church will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the church parish hall, 140 N. Oakdale Ave.

The church will observe stewardship month with Consecration Sunday services at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12. The services will feature personal testimonies. Instead of a 9:10 a.m. adult forum, parishioners will donate diaper bags filled with gifts to be given to high-risk families. Call 541-773-3111 or see www.stmarks-medford.org.

Mormon documentary at Tinseltown Friday

The documentary "Meet the Mormons," rated PG, will show at 11 a.m., 1:15, 3:30, 5:45, 8 and 10:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Cinemark Tinseltown, 651 Medford Center, Medford. The film tells the stories of six members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Net proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. For ticket prices, call 541-621-7924.

 

Sculpture unveiling at Set Free

Set Free Christian Fellowship will hold an unveiling ceremony for the new sculpture at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, outside its ministry center at 1032 W. Main St., Medford. The 10-foot sculpture, titled "The Invitation," is the work of Southern Oregon artist Rex Morningstar.

Christ Unity Church events

A sacred healing meditation service will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 11, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford.

Rev. Rob Wheeler will lead a service titled "Spirit has a Plan" at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at the church.

A healing from the heart service will be offered at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the church. The service seeks to improve relaxation to help with physical ailments.

Zion Lutheran potluck

Services at MCUCC

Medford Congregational United Church of Christ will hold its fall rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford.

The second in a two-part sermon about the book "Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We're in Without Going Crazy," by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone, will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12. A Sunday church school program will be offered for elementary and middle school students during the service.

The Midiri Brothers and clarinetist Bob Draga will perform a jazz worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at First Presbyterian Church of Medford, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. Center for Spiritual Living services

Center for Spiritual Living Rogue Valley interim spiritual director Neale Donald Walsch will give a sermon titled "The World Can Make No Sense to Your Mind" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at 3581 Lear Way, Medford. Kathy Kali will provide music during the service. A children's program will be held during the service.

Divorce Recovery Workshop

Pastor and counselor Bill Gallagher will hold a divorce recovery workshop from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Fireside Room at Trail Christian Fellowship, 18881 Highway 62, Eagle Point.

The program is geared for those who have been divorced or who are currently going through a divorce or separation. Topics will include handling the loss of the marriage, dealing with an ex-spouse, how to help children cope, how to forgive, discussion and Q&A sessions.
