Bethel at Vista Pointe
A dessert fundraiser for Joni and Friends Southern Oregon, a local disability ministry of Joni Eareckson Tada, is planned at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Bethel Church, 4245 Vista Pointe Drive, Medford. A workshop called "Surviving the Holidays" will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2000 Oakwood Drive, Medford. The workshop is designed for those who have lost a loved one and need resources for getting through the holidays, which can be a painful time for those grieving. Participants will be divided up into small groups to share, and all who attend will be given the opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one. Participants will receive a “Surviving the Holidays” booklet. Light refreshments will be served. A donation of $10 is asked, but no one will be turned away because of an inability to pay.
