Ashland Congregational Church, 717 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, will celebrate the beginning of Advent Saturday, Dec. 5, with the traditional "Hanging of Greens" and tree decorating. Church member Zach Light will lead participants in the search for the "perfect tree." Participants will gather at the church at 10:30 a.m. and will be back by 3 p.m. to decorate the church.

Christian Science Church

Guest speaker Roy Gessford will talk about The Lord's Prayer at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Christian Science Church, 100 Windsor Ave, Medford. The talk will give insights and explore the prayer's relationship to its original writings in Aramaic. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church Women of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 140 N. Oakdale Ave., Medford, will hold a holiday luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Rogue Valley Country Club.

Holy Eucharist services will be celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m Sunday, Nov. 22. Between services in the parish hall, Thanksgiving baskets will be assembled.
