Adopt a pet

AGE:  Byron is a handsome, medium-sized, 2-year-old tawny-colored pit bull.

PERSONALITY: Byron takes a little time to bond, but when he does, he’s all yours!  He knows basic commands, comes when called, is fully housebroken and loves to go on walkies and car rides. And best of all, he really enjoys snuggling. He has been enjoying life in a foster home, so he’ll adjust to your home quickly.

HIGHLIGHTS:  Byron seems fine around other calm dogs and cats but probably not livestock. He would also make a great “office dog,” so he can spend more time with you. He’s still young, so he needs to expend energy … and will make you laugh with his antics.

AVAILABLE: At the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., between Talent and Phoenix, open 7 days a week.

COST: Byron’s adoption fee is $95, which includes a free one-hour, in-home training session, and a wellness visit at a local veterinarian office.  Byron is neutered.
