St. Andrew's Anglican Church

The church, which meets in the historic Methodist-Episcopal building at 305 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville, will be open during the citywide yard sale from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 9-11. Volunteers will be present to share information about this piece of Southern Oregon history and the congregation that calls this church home.

Center for Spiritual Living Rogue Valley

The World Day of Service is Saturday, Sept. 10. All are invited to meet at the Scottish Rite Center parking lot at 10 a.m. for prayer, followed by distribution of “Love and Listen” gift bags to those living without shelter in the Rogue Valley.

Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

Great Vespers will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church, in the Shoppes at Exit 24, 205 Fern Valley Road, Suite Z, Phoenix. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, following 8 a.m. Matins prayers. A potluck will follow liturgy. Matins starts at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, with a Vigil for the Elevation of the Cross at 5:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in honor of the Elevation of the Most Holy Cross at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14. St. Mark's Episcopal Church

Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, by the Rev. Thomas Sramek Jr., rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 140 N. Oakdale Ave., Medford. At 9:10 a.m, an adult forum on Safety, Security and Saving Grace will be held in the parish hall. First Presbyterian Church, Medford

Pastor Murray Richmond’s message is “Of Judgment and Grace” for the 8:30 a.m. informal service and 10:30 a.m. traditional service Sunday, Sept. 11, at First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. The informal service has contemporary music and the traditional service usually has a full Chancel Choir and Shoenstein Pipe Organ music. Lynn Sjolund, conductor emeritus of the Rogue Valley Chorale, will lead Rogue Valley singers in a performance of Gabriel Faure's "Requiem" at 3 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11. The shows mark the 15th anniversary of the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. The community is invited. Seating at the church is limited, so admittance will be by complimentary ticket only. First Baptist Church of Phoenix

First United Methodist Church

Soprano Pauline Sullivan, alto Barbara Evans O'Donnell, guitarist Jim Malachi and pianist Jennifer Schloming will perform music from the classical and Romantic period at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at First United Methodist Church, 175 N. Main St., Ashland. The concert will be followed by a labyrinth walk in the church hall. Donations will be accepted.

Medford First Christian Church

The church is celebrating five years of preparing and sharing free community meals. The over 30,000 meals served represents the coming together of persons for various reasons. The celebration will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Medford First Christian Church, 1900 Crater Lake Ave., Medford. From 6 to 6:20 p.m., everyone will take a brief time to celebrate the commitment that undergirds the meal, the community that has been created and the many meals served.
