Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

Great Vespers begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church, in the Shoppes at Exit 24, 205 Fern Valley Road, Suite Z. On Sunday, Nov. 13, Matins prayers begin at 8 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. and Thanksgiving-style potluck afterward with the annual Parish Assembly. Matins begins at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, with the beginning of the Nativity Fast. Brief midday prayers are offered at 11:45 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

St. Mark's Episcopal Church

Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 140 N. Oakdale Ave., Medford. At 9:10 a.m. an adult forum in the parish hall will present the executive director of Redemption Ridge, a safe house for girls and women escaping from sex trafficking. First Presbyterian Church of Central Point

Worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at First Presbyterian Church of Central Point, 456 W. Pine St. The service will include a special message from a representative of St. Vincent de Paul, along with a blessing of quilts and prayer shawls that were handcrafted by members to be distributed to people in need. Sunday school and child care are provided during service. Adult Bible study is offered at 9 a.m.

Zion Lutheran Church

Worship will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Zion Lutheran Church, 516 W. Fourth St., Medford. Adult Bible study is at 8:15 a.m., and Sunday school starts at 10:45 a.m. A healing prayer service is held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays, and Bible study is at 9 a.m. Thursdays. United Church of Christ

The Rev. Laura Lee Kent will observe that in anxious times, people long to hear a word of peace, at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford. Children’s Sunday school is available. A model of a Hope Village tiny house will be in the church parking lot the week of Nov. 14-21 so people can get a look, and even a tour, of the shelter program planned for Medford. First Presbyterian Church, Medford

The church holds a monthly event called Jazz Vespers featuring the music of national and local jazz musicians. At 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, the Michael Vannice Trio will be featured.
