Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

Great Vespers will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church, in the Shoppes at Exit 24, 205 Fern Valley Road, Suite Z. Matins prayers begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, and Divine Liturgy will be served at 9:30 a.m. A potluck meal follows the service. The weekday Matins service is at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26. Vespers is held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27. A Typikon and readers' class follows Vespers. On Thursday, Sept. 28, there will be a 7 a.m. Divine Liturgy. First Presbyterian Church of Central Point

First Presbyterian Church of Central Point, 456 W. Pine St., will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. Proceeds will go to various charitable projects. Adult Bible class will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, and worship will start at 10:30 a.m. Childcare is provided.

Eastwood Baptist Church

Eastwood Baptist Church, 675 N. Keene Way Dr., will hold a worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24. Pastor Randolph Miller will talk about "Jesus' central message from the Sermon on the Mount."

Zion Lutheran Church

Worship will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Zion Lutheran Church, 516 W. Fourth St., Medford. Adult Bible study is at 8:15 a.m., and Sunday school starts at 10:45 a.m. A healing prayer service is held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays, and Bible study is at 9 a.m. Thursdays. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church

Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 140 N. Oakdale Ave., Medford. At 9:10 a.m., following coffee and refreshments, an adult forum on “Welcoming” will be held. Children’s Sunday school is at 10 a.m.

First Presbyterian Church, Medford

Pastor Murray Richmond will speak at both the 8:30 a.m. informal service and 10:30 a.m. traditional service at First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. The informal service features more contemporary music led by the Son Shine Singers in a casual atmosphere in the Fellowship Hall. Ascension Lutheran Church

Worship at Ascension Lutheran Church, 675 Black Oak Drive, Medford, begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, followed by an education hour. During worship, children will collect coins for support of the Lutheran Good Gifts program, which provides support for ministries in 80 countries, including the United States. This year Ascension is collecting money to support farmers. A reverse offering will also be taken; congregants will draw a slip listing items of food for homeless people that will be collected the following Sunday. Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

This week’s service at Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 87 Fourth St., Ashland, will focus on the stories we tell and how they define our imagination and culture.
