Drivers needed in Ashland! The Call-A-Ride medical transportation program is in need of volunteer DRIVERS who live in Ashland or who would be willing to transport people to and from Ashland. Call-A-Ride drivers transport local homebound seniors to their medical appointments in Jackson County. Drivers use their own vehicles and mileage reimbursement is provided. COVID Safety policies are in place. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.
CASA of Jackson County is in need of committed and compassionate volunteers who will serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children. Volunteers are specially trained to advocate for children in the pursuit of safe and permanent homes. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.
Kid Time Children’s Museum needs volunteers to polish up several exhibits they recently received from the Portland Children’s Museum. The pieces need a good scrubbing and polishing; they were well loved in their old home and they will have an exciting new life at Kid Time. SHIBA (Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance) is seeking volunteer MEDICARE COUNSELORS to help seniors navigate the ins and outs of Medicare. No experience needed, volunteers receive extensive training and meet one on one with clients to provide unbiased support for all things Medicare related. This opportunity is only for volunteers 55 and older.
