Thunderstruck Xtreme Bike & Car Show raises funds for kids
Thunderstruck Custom Bikes will hold its 25th annual Thunderstruck Xtreme Bike & Car Show from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Rogue Regency Inn & Suites, 2300 Biddle Road, Medford.
For the past 24 years, Thunderstruck Custom Bikes, along with other sponsors, has come together for one cause — to help support local children. As in past years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley will be the recipient of all donations and proceeds.
Whether it’s custom motorcycles, good old stock street bikes, tricked-out or vintage classic cars, Thunderstruck Xtreme Bike & Car Show has it all. Along with live music performed by the band Noisy Neighbor, you’ll also find vendors, food, raffles, a beer garden and snow cones for kids.
On average, the single-day show raises well over $30,000 and provides new technology equipment, as well as many other necessities for the clubs around the Rogue Valley.
Owner Mark Daley of Thunderstruck Inc. is determined to make this year’s event the best yet, all while keeping everyone safe. he said in a press release.
“We take COVID and sanitation measures seriously and will be making announcements throughout the day as well as continuous disinfection. Everyone knows their roles and what they need to do for the entirety of the day to ensure everyone is safe and remains healthy. Masks will also be available for anyone who would like one. We just really need some joy this year, that’s what I’d like to provide for our community and for the kids,” Daley said.
For those wishing to participate in the show, car registration begins at 9 a.m., with bikes registering at 11 a.m.
Trophies will be awarded to participants in a variety of categories during an award celebration at 3:30 p.m.
