Marvin Leroy Williams, 77, of Central Point, died Saturday, — May 1, 2004 at his home. Mr. Williams was born September 4, 1926 at Richland, — OR. He moved to the Ashland area at an early age and graduated from Ashland — High School. After 35 years in education, including teaching and serving — as principal at Talent Junior High School, Mr. Williams retired in 1985. — He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946.
On March — 17, 1984 he married Sharon R. Guge, who survives. His hobby was woodworking. —
Survivors, in addition to his wife Sharon, include two — daughters, Wanona Tillery and Rhonda Morrell; three step-daughters, Heatherann — Wayne, Lynelle Jones and Kassandra Bauer; two sons, Mark and Sam Williams; — one stepson, Kevin Barden; three sisters, Elma Loper, Betty Hivley, and — Barbara Wolford; two brothers, Bill and Jim Williams; and 18 grandchildren. — He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy E. and Gladys M. (Johnson) — Williams; his first wife Ivy Irene Williams in 1982; one brother, Glen, — and one sister, Nelda.
