David Loren Duty

David was — born to David and Betty Duty on November 16, 1948, in Alhambra CA. He — spent most of his childhood years in Ashland, and graduated from Ashland — High School in 1966. He then attended college in Ashland for a few years, — before graduating from OSU with a Bachelors degree. He then received a — Masters degree from Pepperdine. He has lived for the last 14 years in — the Portland area.

David served — as a Major in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He also taught — school for 30 years and was an Industrial Arts teacher at Rex Putnam High — School. He was a member of Eastridge Church in Clackamas, OR.

David is — survived by his wife of 9 years, Val Duty, his daughters; Mindy Duty, — Leslie Croghan and Stacie Croghan, his son; Lance Duty. His Sister; Mindy — Rutledge, and parents; David Lemuel and Betty Duty, and two grandchildren. — He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Swan.

Sidney — N. Rosenfeld — Sidney N. Rosenfeld died on May 15, 2004, at age 82.

He was born — April 13, 1922 in Baltimore, MD and was attorney with York Division of — Borg-Warner Corp. for 31 years. During that time he served as General — Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Corporation. In this capacity he — was involved in International Joint Ventures, Licensing, and Labor Negotiations. —

Prior — to that he served as their patent counsel and was admitted to practice — before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Washington D.C.

After retirement, — he served on the Boards of Directors of Rotary International of York, — Pennsylvania, Crispus Attucks Community Development, Colonial House and — York Council of Jewish Charities. He also served on the Boards of the — York Foundation, The Literacy Council, York County Labor Management Council, — and was a Trustee of York Little Theatre.

He was a — past president of Ohev Shalom Synagogue, and was a member of the Jewish — Community Center, Temple Beth Israel, and Bnai Brith. He received a Juris — Doctor Degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University — of Maryland. He was admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and Virginia. —

He had been — a member of the York County Bar Association of Pennsylvania, the Virginia — Bar Association, the American bar Association, and the U.S. Court of Customs — and Appeals. He served in the European Theatre of Operations with the — U.S. Army during World War II.

Lou Rosenfeld — of Calgary, Canada, Brian Silverman, Lake Tahoe, CA, and Gary Rosenfeld, — Thomasville, PA., and sisters, Evalyn Goldman, Los Angeles, CA, and Beverly — Polluck, Baltimore, MD, and grandchildren, Rebecca Rosenfeld, Chelsea — Silverman, and Joel and Makendra Silverman.

Funeral Services — will be at Temple Emek Shalom, 1800 East Main St. in Ashland, Oregon, — on Tuesday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m. Rabbi Marc Sirinsky will officiate. Memorial — Contributions may be made to Temple Emek Shalom, PO Box 1107, Ashland, — OR 97520.
