Irene Phillips

Mrs. — Phillips, 72, of Phoenix, died Friday, May 14, 2004 at home.

She was born — November 24, 1931 at Laramie, Wyoming the daughter of Opal and Charles — Einspahr. She lived in Laramie till the age of 11 when she moved to Vancouver, — Washington in 1942, and to Portland in 1946. She graduated from Roosevelt — High School in 1949. During her high school years she was a teen fashion — model, loved to ice skate, was a lead soprano in the Choir, and chosen — as the Roosevelt High School May Princess.

In 1950 she — married Wiley Phillips who survives. She worked in a Portland Fashion — store as a model and accountant. She was a loving mother of four children — and enjoyed fishing, dancing, and attending football games.

Prior to — her illness she was active in the Ashland Missionary Alliance Church and — always listened to Pastor Charles Stanley on Sunday mornings.

She moved — to Ashland in 1969 and to Phoenix in 2001. Most recently, she enjoyed — her yard and backyard birds and she loved her family and her God.

Surviving — in addition to her husband are: two sons, Dr. Stephen Phillips of Medford, — OR, and Gregory Phillips of Talent, OR; two daughters, Deborah Koland — of Ashland and Karen Davis of Portland, OR; two brothers Richard Einspahr — of Sacramento, CA and William Einspahr of Buena Vista, Colorado; two sisters — Shirley Cartozian and Evelyn Nellbauer both of Portland, OR; ten grandchildren; — and four great grandchildren.

Memorial — contributions may be made to the Providence Hospice, 1660 East McAndrews, — Medford, Oregon 97504.

Arrangements — under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
