Thomas Merrill Perry

Thomas Merrill Perry passed away on August 19, 2005 in Ashland, Oregon.

Tom was born on May 30, 1961 in Hemet, California. His grandparents settled in Hemet in 1920. Tom and his brother, Bruce, joined with their father in his business of Hemet Manufacturing, and then started Genesis Construction.

He resided in Ashland, Oregon for the past 12 years, but was honored to be a Perry pioneer family member in Hemet.

Tom was a genuine loving, and compassionate father to his children and truly loved the outdoors. He enjoyed jeeping all over the San Jacinto Mountains and Anza Borrego desert.

Tom was an avid mountain biker, hiker, golfer and also loved camping in the local mountains in Southern Oregon. He enjoyed helping those who were less fortunate and was a devoted humanitarian.

Tom is survived by his parents, Bud and Barbie Perry of Hemet; children, Nichole Perry and Trevor Perry of Ashland, and their mother, Tina Perry; siblings, Jane Perry-Teague of Mira Loma; Bruce Perry of Hemet, Margi Stinson of Hemet; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and brother and sister-in-laws.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Church in Hemet. Private inurnment will be at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.

Julian Battaile, 79 of Ashland, died Wednesday (August 24, 2005) at Providence Hospital, Medford. Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.
