Edith Maie Robb

The memorial service for Edith Maie Robb will be held Saturday, at 2:00 P.M., at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, 1811 Ashland Street, Ashland, OR. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate. Private interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland, OR.

Edith Maie Robb, 82, of Medford, died Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Providence Medford Medical Center.

Edith Maie Baughman was born August 17, 1923 in Ashland, OR. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. She worked as a nurse in Ashland and Salem, retiring in 1990.

Survivors include her son, Charles Besondy of Austin, TX; sister, Maryetta Shere, Klamath Falls, OR; brothers, Harold Baughman of Hayden, ID and Rolland Baughman of Eagle Point, OR.

Willard F. Hamilton

Willard F. Hamilton, 76, of Ashland, Oregon, passed away January 1st, 2006, at the Ashland Hospital.

Willard was born April 14th, 1929 in East Orange, New Jersey. He graduated from Princeton University, in Princeton, New Jersey. He served in the Army from 1951-1953. Willard married Diane Broderick Hamilton on September 4th, 1954. They moved to San Rafael, California where he worked as a manager at Readers Digest in San Francisco. In 1991,they moved to Ashland.

Mr. Hamilton enjoyed sailing, singing, and acting. In addition to being the former president of Guide Dogs for the Blind, he was a member of Bohemian Club, and St. Francis Yacht club.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Hamilton, of Ashland, OR, daughters Dr. Wendy H. Hoelscher (Brad,) Durham, NC, Lelia H. Perez (Angel,) Folsom, CA, sons Willard I. (Jackie,) Friday Harbor, WA, J. Douglas (Lori,) Petaluma, CA, Capt. Scott A. (Jan,) Haines, Alaska, brothers Robert B. (Peggy,) El Dorado, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Stuart W., and a granddaughter Katelynn Hamilton.

A private service will be held spring of 2006 in California. Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Dialysis Patient Trust Fund: 2868 Creekside Circle, Medford, OR 97504.
