Barbara Bain Hanigan

In loving memory of Barbara Hanigan's life, a memorial service will be held at the home of her son, Mark Worsham, and daughter-in-law, Madonna Werthman, on Friday, April 7th at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Hanigan was born December 23rd, 1926 in Santa Ana, Calif., and passed away Tuesday, April 4th, 2006 in Medford, Ore. at the Rogue Valley Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nat and Katherine Neff; her sister, Betty Neff; and her husband, Dr. Thomas Hanigan. She resided in Newport Beach, Calif. and moved to Ashland, Ore. in 1994 to be surrounded by her family. She is survived by her sister, Natalie Woodson; her son, Mark Worsham and his wife, Madonna; granddaughters, Isolde Worsham, and Jennifer and Caitlin Fears.

She graduated from Santa Ana High School, and attended the University of California at Los Angeles to study English. She was a devoted mother and wife, and close friend to many. In addition, she did volunteer work and was a receptionist for a large church in southern California.

She greatly enjoyed the beaches of California and the forests of Oregon. She loved to cook gourmet meals, and was a voracious reader (her idol was Don Quixote). She also enjoyed gardening and practicing Tai Chi.

Barbara will be cherished as a courageous woman of faith who enjoyed the spaciousness of a simple life and found true beauty and laughter everywhere. She gave without reservation and loved unconditionally.

Her sweet memory will forever live

in the hearts she touched.

Arrangements by Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary - Medford, Ore. (541) 773-6162.
